Link is back

As a proud owner of a Nintendo DS I'm very excited that Nintendo's green-tights-wearing hero is back. The latest adventure is called: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. The story is settled after The Wind Waker-storyline.
Link gets into trouble on a boat on the ocean and falls overboard. Of course he wakes up on a unkown island. A fairy helps him to find Tetra and of course the mystical Phantom Hourglass.

I'm really looking forward to the stylus-based controlling. You can swing Link's sword by drawing a circle on the touchpad. You speak to NPCs by touching them with the stylus. And you can leave notes on the map by writing on the touchpad.
Nintendo also added a 2-player-mode.
Yes, I will order this game right away.

Iron Man gets on the big screen!

Finally a new comic book adaptation.
The classic Marvel hero "Iron Man" stars in his own movie.

Robert Downey jr. plays Iron Man and his alter ego Tony Stark.
The story is based on the classic origin, but instead of Vietnam, Tony Stark build his first Iron Man-suit in the middle east. Later Iron Man wears the classic red and yellow design.

The first trailer on the official homepage is great. Can't wait for 2008!

HD-DVD or Blu-Ray or doesn't matter?

I got my personal movie collection on DVD and VHS, but what will the future bring: Blu-Ray or HD-DVD?
I don't know yet, but I'm glad that the entertainment industry doesn't know neither.
So LG just designed a player (LG BH-100) that plays Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
I hope that the other companies will react in the same way to the "Disc-Format-Dispute". In some years I might possibly buy my movies on HD-DVD and Blu-Ray and at least 10 more types of discs, cubes or whatever else will come.
But as long as the movies are good, I don't care what type of player I need to watch them.
